The Writing’s on the Wall is a documentary filmed over four years, following a community social justice project led by internationally renowned artist Alketa Xhafa Mripa. As the story unfolds, the film captures the creation of two powerful murals addressing the issue of rough sleeping, painted on a local bridge in collaboration with acclaimed street artists Ben Eine and Zabou.
Andrea worked as Director of Photography and Camera Operator on the project, documenting the journey as the murals sparked strong emotions, public debate, and moments of unity within a community deeply affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. Told from the artist’s perspective, the film explores creativity, collaboration, conflict, and the complex realities that emerged throughout the development of this ambitious public art initiative.
